Florida Blue, the 10th largest provider of health insurance in the United States, has deployed Sapphire Eye and Mobile Eye enterprise-wide to find and fix issues with its mission-critical Wi-Fi.
With an expanding network that included Florida Blue’s seven-building Jacksonville campus, three regional offices and 28 retail centers, the health insurer’s IT resources were overwhelmed.
“We simply didn’t have the time or the Wi-Fi skills to troubleshoot every Wi-Fi problem,” said Jean-Pierre Comeau, Florida Blue’s senior network engineer.
To combat rising Wi-Fi complaints, Florida Blue deployed 7SIGNAL across its high-security, high-availability network. 7SIGNAL provided valuable, enterprise-wide visibility into the end-user experience across its wireless and wired networks. This allowed IT staff to proactively pinpoint Wi-Fi problems, resolve broadband issues and reduce helpdesk calls.
“7SIGNAL gets to the root cause of wired and wireless issues quickly, which allows me to stay on task with more strategic projects,” said Michael Workman, wireless network engineer at Florida Blue. “If I had all the time in the world, I could solve all issues with the Wi-Fi. But with 7SIGNAL, I can triangulate the problem and solve it in one-tenth the time. Sapphire Eye provides a better visualization of the user experience than any other tool.”
“Wi-Fi doesn’t run itself,” Workman added. “It must be monitored and managed. 7SIGNAL makes that easy.”
